HEVen Light Shield®

Patent-pending technology based on fragrance actives capable of absorbing high-energy visible (HEV) light. For both body and skincare applications and at low doses, it protects Staphylococcus epidermidis, a key skin bacterial strain. It combines effective protection against blue light with the added value of fragrance, opening new possibilities for functional perfumery in cosmetic applications.

EMSA PaperBloom®

EMSA has developed and holds the intellectual property rights for an innovative ambient scenting system featuring a water-soluble solid fragranced carrier designed for diffusion systems such as humidifiers and piezoelectric diffusers. This invention introduces an innovative format that can enable significant reduction in packaging volume and weight, with fragrances optimized for maximum performance.

EMSA PureTech®

Patent-pending technology for malodor control based on synergistic combinations of perfumery ingredients that integrate three complementary mechanisms to effectively neutralize unwanted odors: It acts at a neurosensorial level by addressing at the perception of malodor signals before they reach the brain; it targets the formation of malodors generated by bacteria, and it directly interacts with odor-causing molecules to reduce their impact. This triple-action approach delivers a more comprehensive and long-lasting performance than traditional masking solutions, and is applicable across detergency, air care, and cosmetic formulations.

Water-Soluble Fragrances

The design, adaptation, and development of water-soluble fragrances provide performance advantages in water-based scenting systems. Unlike immiscible perfumes, the perfect integration of water-soluble fragrances in aqueous media allows for a controlled and homogeneous release over time. Changes in concentration are immediately reflected in perceived intensity, enabling real-time adjustments.

Biodegradable Fragrances

Biodegradability is one of the key parameters considered in the rational design of products aimed at minimizing bioaccumulation in aquatic and marine ecosystems, as they are capable of naturally decomposing in these environments. Our technical team has developed fragrance creations formulated entirely with readily biodegradable ingredients, applying a model that has been validated by experimental analysis at an external laboratory.

Controlled-release Fragrances

At EMSA, we have developed and validated various systems capable of incorporating fragrabces, including solid carriers and biodegradable microcapsules, intended for use in cosmetic, home care and air care products. These systems enable controlled fragrance release across different formats and usage conditions.
